Chellappa Receives Outstanding Engineer Alumni Award


Minta Martin Professor of Engineering Rama Chellappa (ECE/UMIACS/CS) will receive the 2010 Outstanding Electrical and Computer Engineer (OECE) alumni award from Purdue University.

The 2010 OECE Awards will be presented at Purdue's annual ECE Awards Banquet on September 10.

Chellappa received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Purdue in 1978 and 1981, respectively. Since 1991, he has been a professor of electrical engineering at the Clark School as well as an affiliate professor of computer science.
